I noticed a posting about grog made from Ione kaolin and thought I
would give a heads up to anyone who is using Ione kaolin or any of
the grogs made from it. I use Ione as the kaolin in my casting slip
and a few weeks ago my supplier let me know I needed to start testing
for a substitute as it is no longer being produced. The company that
digs it is currently in bankruptcy and no one can buy the mine
(deposit, site?) until it is resolved.
