Joyce wrote a long post re being challenged directionally.
I will only quote the following
>>Statistically, some of you must fit in this category also. You'll know =
you do if one of the reasons you married was so you'd have a permanent =
quick reminder of just which hand is your "left" hand ... from there you =
could figure "right," and that can be a good beginning to your day. <<
(We have had so many spells of discussion on the subject of lefties
through the years. Sometimes I can't read Clayart and sometimes I
read parts of it.)
So I must tell a quote from my "middle-aged" middle daughter
who said this when she was about four yrs. old.
"This is my left hand. And this is my other left hand."
She is, of course, left-handed, is somewhat directionally
challenged, and it was pure Hades to teach her driving when
she turned the wrong direction.
She received the gene from me. However, I write with my right hand,
having been in kindergarten in the days when they converted lefties.
And that is all I do with my right hand, except when accidents
happen to my left. They couldn't convert me altogether. I could
NEVER squeeze the scissors with my right. And still can't.
But I throw (when I do) the counterclockwise way, and could
no longer learn from mel about bracing left arm with left thigh.
Back trouble had me convert my Brent to a standing wheel, sell
my wonderful Randall wheel with the plow seat.
Gospel may be preached, but it doesn't always apply.
It is interesting to watch, when I bother, how many times subjects
go and come round and round on Clayart.

(needing to quit wasting time here and get a carousel of slides
ready for slide talks to two advanced pottery classes in two
different high schools. I
have far too many slides to go through and no great sense of order
in my boxes.)
