Hi, JoHanna

I haven't even seen a Stewart kickwheel, much less tried one, but I can give
you a few anecdotes about Lockerbie wheels. I own a Lockerbie
motor-assisted kickwheel. It has a smooth strong momentum that I still can
stop easily. I like having the motor assist for centering and my first
pull-ups, but then when I want to go slower I just turn off the motor and
kick as needed. Our community college has two Lockerbie kickwheels that I
know aren't maintained (maintenance being a little grease and oil 1-2x/yr),
and those kickwheels are the only ones left that work - they also have 5
wooden-framed kickwheels.

Good luck in buying your wheel!

Kathy
