Hi, We are traveling to Arizona at the end of next week, and I would love
some input into some special pottery places to visit around Sedona and
Phoenix. We are staying in Sedona. Thanks!

Kathleen asks about pottery in Sedona and Phoenix. Sedona has a number =
of galleries, many of them being located at Tlaquepaque, which you will =
find easy enough. While visiting Sedona don't miss the short, 30 mile =
drive, up to the old mining town of Jerome. More pots there than you =
can see in a day.

Have fun,

Craig

A new spot to see in the Phoenix area is at the ASU campus in Tempe. The
brand spankin' new Ceramics Research Center where Schlotzky's Sandwiches
used to be when I was taking clay classes there. I haven't been yet, but
it's supposed to have a wonderful exhibition space and an area for hands-on
study with the pots.

here is their web page-

Dated information there, but says for more info to email- John Spiak at
spiak@asu.edu.

Thanks to all the potters who responded to my question. I can hardly wait
to
get out there , leaving steamy south Florida for a while. I'm going to try
to temporarily sign off this clayart site until we return.
