Hey all!
Yes it's true, got the bug bad. Anyhow, I've been working with =
Ginny Wirt's Trap Shino in a ^10 reduction firing. I'm having the most =
amazing crystallization come out with blushing (looks like an aventurine =
glaze) from copper rich glazes present in the kiln. My problem is this: =
on the pieces with the best blushing and crystallization there are very =
fragile places on the rim. The glaze peels off in glassy bits about a =
layer down into the glaze. It's not sharp enough to cut, it's kinda =
mealy with the glaze still white underneath. Anyone have an idea what =
this is? =20
Thanks in advance!
Megan
