I used a tungsten wash then resisted under a ^6 clear and got a very nice
green.

George... I'd like to answer you off-list, but you didn't include
your
email address, and the header on your post said only 'sent on behalf of
George Koller'. If you'll send me your address (off-list) I'll respond.
Thanks.

Hi All,
The book "Water Colour on Porcelain" by Arne Ase was published by the
Norwegian Press in 1989. I am revisiting the book and I am once again
overwhelmed with the potentials of the metal sulfates (and related
solutions/techniques) as fantastically rich colorants....
My questions are these; does anybody know of
1. research work beyond this book (using the metal solutions as
colorants) .
2. artists (or perhaps studios) using the metal solutions as
colorants.
3. artists that may have a particular interest in exploring the metal
solutions as colorants. (Work would most likely be done at the Ceramic
Corridor Innovation Center, Alfred NY.)
If so, please contact me off-list.
Thank you,
George Koller

Hi All,
The book "Water Colour on Porcelain" by Arne Ase was published by the
Norwegian Press in 1989.

If anyone is interested in Arne Ase's work, check out the following website
for a reprint of July 1996 issue of Ceramics Technical -- "The Enigma of

Marcia,
Thank you for your communication concerning the metal
sulfates. We have also begun experimenting with "washes"
on the underlying light colored bisque tiles to interesting
effects, but not with tungsten. Very interesting! Will put
this one into my notebook.
