accidental zircopax instead of tin goof,

Althought they are both opacifiers, you would need more zircopax than tin
to
get equal opacification. With zircopax, 32.79% of it is silica.
You may find that if you used 5% zircopax, instead of 5% tin, for instance,
your glaze may not have the opaqueness that you hoped to get. So you might
add a couple % tin to the batch. It will depend on how much tin the original
recipe called for, and your desired outcome.

June (finished feeding the roses and flowers and time to hit the studio and
get on with glaze tests!)

Hello,

Different opacifiers have different strenghts, and to get
the same degree of opacification from tin and Zircopax,
for instance, approximatively twice the latter would be
needed.
