Dupre Mr Marcy M on mon 6 may 02
When I recently had my garage refinished into a studio, I asked the
contractor to leave me several pieces of drywall. The sheets are approx 5
feet wide and 6 feet high. I measure 18" widths, then make a cut through
the paper covering using a box knife. I then pull the sheet toward me,
aligning the cut with the edge of the table. A sharp, downwardpush snaps
the sheetrock along the cut. Stand the sheet up, bending it at the cut,
then cut the inside paper. Voila! You have a shelf for drying. You may
wish to tape the edge, but I do not.
No mess, no gypsum dust, lotsa cheap shelves, easy to clean, pots don't
stick to 'em, I LIKE 'EM!
When I make tiles, I lay out fresh cut tiles on one shelf, cover it with
another shelf, and stack the layers three deep on my rack. Works well, so
far.
Try it...
