I rummaged through my notes and found this old, old bit of info. Don't
know where I got it or how valid it is. One way to find out is to try
it -- at your own risk.

62.0
Magnesium carbonate 6.86 6.36 5.0

Kurt:
You need a bit of strategy to send a multi-column table like the
one below...this is how I received it (and so did most of us I guess from
your comment). After the following repeat, I revise the data in a form
that should reach everyone ungarbled (I hope). But I do not do a full
repeat, sorry.
(aside to Clayarters, please adopt this type of "paragraph" format
when doing mixed alphanumerics).

Here is my suggested way of handling such data on the Internet:

-------------------

The following analyses suggest how to prepare a "synthetic" wood-ash. The
first number is the component's percent weight in "Mixed Ash"; the second
is the percent weight in "Pine Ash"; the third is its percent weight in
Synthetic ash "Nishi":

Bone ash 4.09; 4.10; 7.0.
Whiting 35.73; 44.37; 62.0.
Magnesium carbonate 6.36; 6.86; 6.0.
Potash feldspar 24.35; 36.17; nil.
Soda feldspar nil; nil; 12.0.
Kaolin (EPK) 10.39; nil; 10.0.
and so on.

It could also be done this way:

Mixed Pine Synth. Material
ash ash ash analyzed

4.09 4.10 7.0 Bone ash
35.73 44.37 62.0 Whiting
6.36 6.86 6.0 Magnesium carbonate
24.35 36.17 nil Potash feldspar

and come out ok if the transmission doesn't throw away the two or three
extra "space bar" binary codes. It should not because this code is almost
entirely universal (same in Unix, MacOS, Windows, PCDOS, etc.). The jumble
occurs because it is the "Tab" binary code that varies among the programs,
and is improperly reconstructed by the receiving file server.

Let's hope this works, as I believe it should.

til later. Peace. Tom B.
