Dear Tom Buck,
I have used a Weed Sprayer set on "mist" when firing with Diesel =
Distillate and it helps. Radiation helps to complete vaporisation beyond =
the fire mouth. But I have not made any measured comparisons.
It might be better to construct some sort of evaporator to bring the =
water vapour up to superheat temperatures, round about 1200 Celsius. But =
this becomes dangerous stuff to handle.
I think if this was done, so that the SH Steam was injected at low =
pressure into the bed of live coals in a wood fire it might make a lot =
of difference on an intermittent basis.
A lot is being written but the ideas need thinking through in depth.
