Hi!
If I would give you all the test I made this time your server would
collapse, not to talk about my whiting finger.
Started with Behrens stony glaze moving to my variation plastic touch:

I tried to make it more toward gloss
I made it in small variations of alumina silica . Each recipe was made
once with 3 copper ox and than with 3 copper and 5 tin.
Behrens was a smart person. I am sure he knew his glaze was not
stable. Yet perhaps In his time it would not considered as a bad thing
to publish such a glaze. He had published it as white. I am the evil
person who add copper oxide to this unstable glaze!. His glazes are
wonderful.

So to clear myself from the high court I have called it high fired
color, and add here Decorative.
Like will not paint your cake with oil painting you have to know which
glaze to use for you surface of work.

I did not like the results, of my plastic touch tests kind of sweet
turquoise. In the first test I made , some months ago I tried to arrive
to a similar look of weathered green, I think the 5 copper crab. and 5
titanium were richer than this test coloring. I am sure my students
will finish all the test jars so I will not lose the money of the
pretty expansive materials.

In the meantime appeared a new book:
Tells me to scratch, freeze, wash with soda ash and dance with each
test tile I make.
I made the leaching test to all the tests some leached more and some
less.
I added to the plastic touch tests more tests to overcome the new
rules. I know these are not new rules just having Ron and John
smiling on the table next to the computer makes me think I should make
these tests properly.
The scariest, was to freeze and pour on it hot water! I thought I
might finish glazing career!
So far no test was pinging! It made me so happy that I repeated the
test more than I had to: Being afraid of this test was the reason I
called all my glaze decorative!

If any of you who has matrix want to try these glazes ( about 8)
I can send them as recipes.

You see my glaze gurus! In all the mess around someone try to learn
from you away from Nova Scotia and theThe Rocky Mountains, not to talk
about Scottsdale Az that has the same zip code like mine, in Israel.

I tested R&J Majolica with local materials and did not like it
I tested their brown waterfall, I mean I wanted to see if my kiln
cooling slow enough. No it does not. Still I will try to achieve a
similar effect with another glaze with my humble knowledge
The rest of the tests will be in separate letters
