knight kiln element condition

I am considering buying a Knight kiln (27" deep X 24" diameter). When
the kiln's 3 switches are turned up to high, the bottom 2 coils glow very
brightly immediatelly, but the rest of the elements while heating up, do
not glow nearly as brightly after 10 minutes of running. QUESTION - Is the
kiln functioning OK? Does the bottom element get hot first on purpose? How
long does the kiln need to be on for all of the elements to get totally hot?
NOTE - I was told that all of the elments were replaced a couple of years
ago at the same time. Thanks for advice.

I don't know the Knight brand, but many kilns are
designed with a higher-power bottom element to help
with more even heating. It may take 15 minutes for
all the elements to show their full color, so give
it some time before you write off the rest of them.
