Hi,
Recently I asked my Webmaster the question, how do people find my website.
He
explained that and put me on some search engines etc. He said when he went
onto Google and typed in Laughing Bear Pottery he came up with this.
clayart - thread 'plans
for constructing a fiber kiln.
It was a question I addressed to Clayart over a year ago. I didn't know that
our e-mails can be accessed by anyone, can someone explain this to me?

There are several web based services...potters.org, yahoo, and others that
archive many, many mailing lists and newsgroups. You do not have a choice
as these are all "public" lists.
Once there was a command...X yes Archive No, that would stop any archival
services from picking up your messages, but alas...that has gone by the
wayside.
So, watch what you say, and keep any private correspondence on private
email, if you don't want the world to know!
Tommy

Clayart is archived and it is a very high-profile site, as you will
see if you download and install the new google taskbar on your
browser. The "rating" for Clayart is high.
You therefore had laughingbear.com in your mail and so it was picked
up by the search engine in your e-mail. Archived e-mails, accessible
from the web are just the same as web pages and search engines will
treat them exactly the same way. Maybe that mail had Laughing Bear
Pottery and not laughingbearpottery, which is what you now use.
Hope this helps?
