A further though for those who are interested in this phenomenon and may =
wish to exploit it.
To understand and explain what is happening, then relate our =
observations to atmospheric conditions such as rain, fog or other forms =
of precipitation, it is necessary to measure both the Relative Humidity =
of the Air and its Dew Point. These will give precise information about =
the quantity of Water Vapour in the atmosphere entering the kiln to =
provide Oxygen for efficient combustion of the fuel as well as the =
potential for rain to fall or dew to form.
I suggest that a record of this information will be important if people =
wish to reproduce the conditions of previous firings.
As I recall from my readings, these two parameters have not been =
mentioned in any prior writings or discussions about firing processes.
