I've been very busy lately, but I've been wanting to put this out since it
first started. Maybe several weeks ago or so. I love taking cards! I've
had so many spontanous sales just from having the service.
I remember reading in Wendy Rosen's, "Crafting as a Business," that taking
cards can increase your sales by about a third more. Well, I beg to
differ...My increase has been atleast 50% more. There have been times where
my sales have been threefold compared to the previous year where I just took
cash or checks. Yes, 3 times as much!
Luckily, I found a service that allows me to accept the major 4
cards...Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover. I'm using the
service listed in the back of Ceramics Monthly, and Tom is wonderful to work
with and the rates were the lowest I could find at the time I signed up.
In fact, I had a sale this last Saturday and the credit card transaction
amounts exceeded what I made in cash or checks by about 60%.
