I know that it's way too early to speak of
NCECA in San Diego next March, but some things require thinking ahead if =
they're to occur........... such as........ pictures of your work. One =
of my greatest pleasures in Kansas City was having clayarters bring =
albums or envelopes containing pictures of their work. Single photos =
were great, too. AND a few of you brought samples of your micro-mini =
pots to share, lovingly unwrapping them from their cotton batting or =
bubblewrap or whatever and letting me admire them, even hold them. My =
mind's eye still carries visions of the glorious work I saw. Many =
sharers are "lurkers," but they are not lurking because of the quality =
of their work ..... wonderful work. AND they really aren't ready to be =
part of the slide show... or simply prefer to share in a more intimate =
setting.
I also enjoyed very much the groups of pictures some more-or-less =
newbies brought depicting their progress as a potter. Some fine work =
there, too, but even the not quite so fine was much appreciated. I =
could have happily spent much more of my time looking at your work, and =
listening to you tell about YOUR experiences with clay.
So...... think ahead........ please..... I'd love to see more...... and =
so would others, I'm sure.
