arts center with no art? (artists with no art center?)

Jeremy,
Why does the 60's activist in me (70's more accurately) say share and help
the cause! Why does the idea of breaking your work strike me as being
terribly selfish. "If I can't have it then you can't too!".
If it was a class sponsored by Microsoft and held at Microsoft then that
would be a different story but come on now this is an arts center! Where's
the sense of communal effort? Its not like the art center folks are getting
rich are they? Are the donors who helped provide funding for the place
reaping all sorts of riches from the place...probably not?
How about we show the budding artist's what it means to be a generous
artist, one who shares of their time, energy, and yes sometimes their work.

"Reach out your hand.....if your cup is empty...if your cup is full...may it
be again" The Greatful Dead

Take care

I'm like'n this idea. The 60's activist in me says that the demolition of
the
finished
demo pieces happens in a very public and dramatic sort of way to protest the
policy. I wonder if the stage comic, Gallagher, would be interested in the
gig? :-D
