Bravo, Dan, for your hard work! And much appreciated is your sharing
the results with us. (http://photos.yahoo.com/dbdermer; glaze tests)
My results came closer to your #3 than to #2, but were darker,
greener and browner. (I was trying to approach a given glaze for a set
of bowls for a friend. I'm not sure how much I'll use it.) The #2 looks
blah in the picture, but maybe in some settings it would be great. I
guess that reinforces the saying that glazes don't travel well, and the
admonition to test!
I'd never noticed that the base was the same as Emily's Purple!
Interesting.
Both #1 and #4 are very pretty, but your #3 might set off food
better, if this is for such uses.
In order to avoid a jumpy ad I copied the picture to my hard drive
(clicked on picture then right clicked, and chose 'save image to'). I
read jpeg in Photoshop, but it can be imported into Word. I'm going to
explore this Yahoo photo deal.
Anyway, thanks! Lesley
