Debbie,
Although its not clay, you should see the miniture rooms exhibit in the
basement of the Art Institute.They are the coolest thing I've ever seen in
an art museum. Some of the miniture rooms have miniture commisioned
paintings by master painters, I believe Picasso did one.
It was my fav thing to see when I lived there.
