Hi again-
thanks for the response David H. I hadn't heard of
any formula either to tempertature measurement from
the stack to any point above, but I thought it worth
the try. Perhaps the Forest Service or my local fire
people might know. I will ask.
This branch I am concerned about is about 75 feet
up, and the lower one on the tree. It just might be
that its time has come to shrivel and fall off, since
only the upper branches survive in this dense forest.
Too high to hit with a hose, so i will cut it or
protect it before firing.
Heard you have a new web site, will visit it soon.
