Glaze tested on white midrange stoneware fired in electric oxidation to
1220c.

Firing ramp:
100c p/h to 600c (212f - 1112f)
150c p/h to 1100c (330f - 2012f)
100c p/h to 1220c (212f - 2228f)
cool down max. per hour to 900c (1652f)
hold for one hour at 900c
shut off kiln

Recipe:
23.6 Neph. Sye.
12.4 Whiting
11.2 Lithium Carb.
6.5 Gerstely Borate
2.0 Barium Carb.
2.8 Magnesium Carb.
41.5 Silica

ADD
3.0 Tin oxide
3.5 Rutile

Note: All raw materials are measured up or down to the nearest whole
decimal.
Colorants or additives to a 100 gram test batch are measured in precent to
the 100 gram test batch.

Substitutions:
Frit 623 for Gerstley Borate

Results:
Smooth, well melted semi matte glaze. This glaze is pink! Ballerina tutu
pink. It showed a white glaze where very thick and a pink glaze where it
broke
thinner over the texture on test tile. Possibly need to let it glaze slurry
soak overnight to get more uniform pink.

This glaze is short of alumina so it may be affected by repeated washing.
The silica is also short. If you are not into Barium simply sub in 1.5
Strontium for the Barium - it will melt the same.
