seeking c04 tile body recipe

Low firers,
I had a customer (who has clearly not planned ahead!) call a few minutes
ago asking for a small quantity of low fire (C04) clay for a kids tile
project, tiles to be cut from slabs. I have researched Chappell, Rhodes,
Kenny, and the archives looking for suitable clay body recipes and have
found a few within my limited list of ingredients (ball clay, kaolin, talc,
feldspar, Ferro frit 3134, whiting, silica, sand). My question is, has
someone had experience making and using such a recipe for slab work?
If so, can you tell me, is 10% sand too much or adequate? I want to
prevent warping.
Also, is 3134 a suitable frit in the body? Or is a talc body better?
Thanks in advance for any help!
Dave Finkelnburg, who's been blissfully ignorant of low fire clay
far too long.

Dave,

An addition of 7% Grog would be a good additive to prevent warping and
stability. Can't help you on the frit--wonder about that myself.

Tony
