I was day-dreaming today...
You know what I would really, really like to be able to do? Get NASA
hooked up to a laser-beam and about a tonne (metric) of clay in a huge
ball shape... Yes, using computers, lasers and anything else necessary
to build or make a truly accurate globe. We could then see the world,
continents, countries, oceans and everything au naturel and be able to
touch it too for the very first time... Wouldn't that be a wonderful?
And wouldn't that sort of applied technology put mould-making versus
manipulating into the dustbin of history?
