I'll tell you why I will not entertain a dialog here. Maybe, just for this,
and its all I'll write. I find your comments insulting and I'm sorry for
you.
Its not for me to decide methods of working for others.
You have methods that work for you and are in your comfort zone.
Me to.
All approaches are valid if they work for you.
Potters myopia is stifling and leads to closed and narrow minds. Perhaps
like yours? That's what I read in your postings.
The arguments about process, product, value, worth, are circular in nature
in that there is no answer and that every answer is perhaps correct if it
works for you and you have the stuff to back it up. I do.
There is no imposed agenda. You have a choice Make a choice that works for
you. Don't impose your agenda on me or anyone else. Take a stand and back it
up. I do.
My publications are just my point of view. If you don't like it, don't read
it. if you don't want to watch a TV program, turn the damn TV off. If my
approach towards clay working bothers you, that's not my problem. Its yours.
Pursue a path that works for you and don't bother with mine. I don't care
and I don't take it personally.
Just don't tell me that I am imposing an agenda, or attempt to talk it down
because your don't agree.
And don't insult me. My version of being a potter is one of many. I don't
drag it behind me. Its right out in front, always has, always will.
My career, accomplishments, and contributions to this list and to this field
stand for themselves, and before you start hurling insults, do your
research.
Enough said. And by the way, what have I ever done to elicit such postings
from you?"
