Hi all,
I have a question to ask to DC/ MD/VA Clayarters.
I've heard from a potter friend in Japan that his potter friend is invited
by the Smithsonian Institution to participate in the Silkroad festival in
June and July - demonstrate pottery.
So I asked this potter to teach my tea ceremony group to make teabowls. He
agreed, lucky me.
But I need to find a studio space for thr workshop. I asked Rob Barnard to
ask his school and he is checking now. But I'd better have plan B just in
case it doesn't work out with his school.
Here is a question to you DC /MD/VA Clayarters - do you know any pottery
studio space I might be able to rent or borrow for one afternoon ( July 2nd
is his choice) so that he could teach us how to hand-build teabowls and
possibly the studio would fire our bowls after they are dried( Am I too
optimistic?)
Any suggestion is appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help..
And in return for your kindness, if you are interested in joining in our
class, let me know. I would see to find you a spot.

At the risk of possibly getting myself in some deep water, perhaps you could
contact Roberta Couver at Hudson Street Pottery in Arlington? Number is
(703) 522-5212. I suggest here because I am a student at this studio.
