And one other thing...
While there have been technological advances in color matching systems in
the past few years (notably the Spyder), assuring that one juror is looking
at the same colors in an image as a different juror using a different
monitor and different rendering program is difficult at best.
When you project a slide everybody sees the same image. When you display a
digital image on a computer monitor there can be wide variations in color
and quality.
