I am interested in buying some fire proofing paint such as was
mentioned on clayart a while ago. (Mel?) I looked in the archives but
could only find a reference to it not the long discussion I remember.
Could someone repeat this information. I have been firing a gas kiln
in a shed that preexisted the kiln and the kiln was placed under a
beam. We have never had a fire but I thought for safety sake it
would be a good idea to paint the beam with fire proofing paint such
as was mentioned on clayart. The wooden beam is only a foot or so
from the top of the kiln.
