i never thought i`d get so much attention and praise
from claybuds after i posted my photo-album...
it is awfully nice of all of you to take the time and
look at my pictures
and i am humbled really, to receive so many
congratulations.

it feels good, yeah, but do i deserve all of it?
no-no-no, i am not a full grown big shot yet!!!
i never fired a salt or soda or wood kiln by myself.

few weeks ago, i was lucky to be invited by mel to
hay creek, where on his farm i could learn from him
and other experienced potters how to fire those kilns.
teachers, like mel, kurt, dannon, stephani, doug -who
you all know thru their wonderful contributions to
clayart- and about 10 other great potters who are not
on the clayart list,
they were all helping me to get more confidence on
stoking the woodkiln, to learn how to inject sawdust,
how to load and fire a saltkiln, how to try to get
beautiful shinos, how to get some cool textures, how
to live a potter`s life...and so much more!

gee, it was a tremendous learning experience and in
the meantime i had great fun and a super time too!
and yes, i was blessed by the kiln gods as well, for
which i am greatful too...

one day i might be able to build one of those kilns,
and then, when i will know much more about them, you
can all come and i will help you guys to learn...
(i am talking to those of you, who dont know IT yet)
until then,
let`s make some more pots.

best wishes,
marta
