Hello everyone-

I have just finished making a double batch of crab
woofies from the Clay Art Cooks cookbook for the
opening reception of my gallery opening tonight.
Thanks to LP and Roberta Miller who sent the recipie
in and it is delicious. (Couldn't find my box of crab
boil though, thought I had one). This is the seventh
recipie I've tried from the book, and they've all been
good!
A while ago, I asked for opinions about what
diffenent temperatures might be as one got further
from the end of a kiln stack, particularly for a raku
kiln, and got several good responses. THe one that I
settled on was one which when you first hear of it,
you go Duh, so simple and obvious. But it's obvious
only when you learn of it. I put a cover over the kiln
about 8 feet above the kiln opening. The corrogated
sheet of metel absorbed most of the heat, and kept the
tree from burning. We're up to 109 degrees here this
week, and everything is dry, dry, dry.

Thanks to everyone who responded to my questions.
As always, they were most helpful.
