How about good old concrete! 25lb bag of redimix [includes, sand, =
stone, cement ]+- $350, and use some extra Portland cement, 25 lb bag +- =
$6.00. Gets harder than hell and can stand enormous compression. The =
extra Portland cement makes it finer and better able to take detail. =
Just about indestructible.

Hi Greg,

When you're casting a Ram press mold using this concrete with extra cement
mix, what compressor pressure settings and time schedule do you use to blow
out the water? Does it hold up better than Hydrostone?

Thanks in advance,

In the RAM process the die must be porous. Air has to travel through the
die. As the plaster die sets up air is slowly injected to produce millions
of microscopic airways. I doubt that this could be done with cement.
