pit firing and weather

Hi. Ive done a lot of pit fireing, and unless you expect an absolute
monsoon, I'd probably do no more than a bit of trenching around the
perimeter of the pit to keep the run off out. Hurrying the cooling sure
could result in a bunch of cracked pots. (that depends somewhat on how well
made they are though) good luck, and let us know how they turn out!
