We just finished yet another fabulous workshop at the Long Beach Island
Foundation of Arts and Sciences in Loveladies, NJ. Judy Motzkin taught us
not
only her unique way of firing kilns (she used whatever she could get her
hands on which was our big gas kiln and the raku kiln). Pots were tumble
stacked like my closet when I need to clean up quickly. It was quite a
sight.
And the results were terrific. We really had a good time and each morning
was
like Christmas when we opened up the "closet." She also made us go to the
beach which is just across the street. She taught us abandon, to have fun,
to
recognize that a pot is only a pot, no take chances, to experiment. What a
treat!
