I brushed my shelves with ITC 100. Before brushing, I dampened the shelves
with a sponge so I was able to get a THIN coat of ITC, as everyone advocates
is the goal. It worked fine this way.

Hi, Joyce, and anyone else who has done this ...

I have been reading the archives for advise on ITC. I am trying to repair
the floor of my kiln (submitted earlier to Clayart), and thought that ITC
might be the way to go. I would like to brush the floor with ITC 100,
avoiding the elements, patch with 200, and rebrush with 100. I read that you
brushed your shelves with ITC, and I was hoping that you would be able to
offer some advise/information on the technique.

Just to forestall any spraying suggestions, I don't have a compressor, and
won't be able to get one.

Thanks, in advance

While it is certainly possible to brush ITC 100 I would recommend using a
small roller instead...Pour your ITC out into a roller pan and go for
it...it is much easier to keep stirred up this way, just remember to work on
a good wet surface, or you will quickly end up with 1/4" of coating.
