Hi everyone,
There are only about 5 spaces left in Lana's workshop.
Brenda
CLAYSPACE ON PUGET SOUND
presents
LANA WILSON: "INNOVATIVE HAND-BUILDING TECHNIQUES "
Sept 15-16, 2002
Sunday-Monday
Cost: $150
Demonstration workshop only
Lana Wilson is a gem. She has a great sense of humor and will keep you
laughing while learning. Lana creates highly textural forms using soft slabs
that she incises, stamps and stretches and then glazes with unique low-fire
glazes that are both colorful and textured. She is fascinated by artifacts and
ritual objects incorporating symbols that hobos used in the 1930's to convey
messages.
She pushes her materials, especially glazes and encorages others to do the
same. You'll leave this workshop inspired, encouraged and elated!
Lana is a featured writer for 'Clay Times'and author of "Ceramics: Shape &
Surfaces" and the video "Soft-Slab Handbuilding".

Please send her my love and admiration. Please give her the links to my site, to my
glaze tests pages as well as the stoneware page a lot of ideas from her handbook..
Tell her that for a self learning student she opened a window I would never know exist.
Tell her I used the soft slab technics with my students regular as a well as disable.
They all enjoyed it each one with his ability or disability.
Please note in the main page of my site the is page one and two
