lo,

a few weeks ago I listened to a lecture about slipware. The lecture >
was hold by W. E. Matthes during the Museumsfestival of the

Keramikmuseum H=F6hr-Grenzhausen. Addionally D. Miller did a Slip-

Workshop. He coloured the slip with stains.

One point of the lecture was applying porcelain slip on biscuit fired <=
BR>
pots.

I did a test at home in my electric kiln.

I took some of my porcelain clay and produced some slip. I coloured >
the slip with stains and sieved it in the same way as glazes.

I applied the slip (with a brush) on a biscuit fired bowl, glazed it R>
with a transparent glaze and fired it at cone 7(Seger cone).   &nb=
sp;

(e.g. About 250 ml slip and two level tsp stains)

It worked well.

I'll try now some combinations with coloured glazes underneath ..

For me it was a new information. Maybe there is anyone who is

interested in this too.
