If I remember correctly .. when records were cut on what they called a =
recording lathe.. a fine thread of material came away from the cutting =
head .. and was also called SWARF.. same idea !!! I usually just shave =
across the inside of the holes with a loop turning tool when the pot is =
late leather hard and this leaves a clean result for me... and I remind =
myself that the total area of the holes must be greater than the area at =
the tip of the spout for a good pour..
It's time I made some more teapots !!!!
