Geez- I don't remember where I read it (probably in Steve Branfman's =
book) but a neat way to make raku kiln buttons is to make the button =
solid with a loop on the back to thread the wire through. This way, the =
wire is not exposed on the inside of the kiln. When I made mine, I used =
raku clay with some vermicullite wedged in. They are holding up very =
well.
