my answer to washing off the bottoms of pots
is to:

make deep, clean, well designed ring feet.

everyone wins.
good design.
lifts the pot off the table.
but, best of all, you have
a perfect handle to hold the pot
when glazing.

who washes off the bottoms of pots?
who gets glaze on the bottoms?
i sure try not to.

the problem with round bottomed, unclear
ring feet....almost impossible to glaze.
pseuopods.
and very ugly, often.' design pots with glazing in mind. think.

i wax the bottoms of my teapots.
and, i think, that is the only ones.
and, they do not have sixty tiny holes
in the back of the spout.
one holers, that is what i make.
(it takes hank three days to punch out 60 small
holes in a teapot. in the time he does his strainer,
i make nine more teapots. )
the pp council is anti 60 holers. hank would
never get into one of our `international` shows.

our next big show will be called:

PP INTERNATIONAL
Tewksberry, Missisippi
Wanda's Craft Barn and Screen Door Repair.
`four miles out of town on old highway 32,
just past the Maginty farm.`
artimer has twelve, potters throwing water bowls ,
in the show.

Whaddaya MEAN "think". You can't tell ME how to make
my pots. Just for that, I won't come to the show at "Wanda's
Craft Store & Screen Door Repair". Could'a shown you a
thing or two about screen repairs, too, but now it is too late.
You'll never learn my secrets. I don't have to think if I don't
want to. Nyaaaa.
