Excuse me for the poor post...
I made a critical error in the description
of the wrist postion and have restated it below...
and secondly the psychobabble
that followed it...rather counter productive
Here is the post I would have rather sent. (sorry)
To further that line of thought...
I find that the "form" reflects my=20
energy more completely when
I begin the motion with
>wrists turned outward and away from my "center"..<
at the base of the pot near my body
The vertical pull is blended into the horizontal
becoming a diagonal...
midway through the pull the wrists rotate
when reaching the center of the pot at 90 degrees square
The completion of the movement
ends with a flicking or full extension
of the wrists through digits or knuckles
essentially a hooking movement..
a slow motion toss.
Not to mention the shaping in and out motion
that gives the pot its "silouette" or 3-D shape...
obviously there comes a point when description
becomes a problem...
Watch a free style dance,
then describe it...
metaphor has a better chance..
