Hello,
I'll soon participate to an art fair (this dying thing, you know). And I have a lot of pots which I need to dry quickly. As I am
running short of time, I want to pre-dry them in my electric kiln. Never having done so, I don't know which temperature would
be good, as I don't want anything to crack. Pots are not too big, biggest are some wine coolers, cylinders of about 22 cm. Would
you think 4 hours at 100° C could be without risk? Or lower temperature, or shorter time? Should I set pots on little podests or
can I set them plane on kiln shelves? Should I use more kiln wash?
I would be glad to hear from you, also any other suggestion how to dry things in a humid surrounding will be welcome. Thanks
for, I'm sure, always useful hints.
Sibylle
