Having just gone thru a week & a half of my handbuilt
greenware having CRACKS... in the drying process...as
well as firing pcs. with hairline cracks...which I did
not catch!!!!! I have to say..after losing several
hundred $ of cracked pieces.... this is a don't rush
it thingy...Having worked with clay since 1969...HERE
in Fla. ...my studio work room AC DIED about 2 wks.
ago...hence the CRACKS.
Since my home is For Sale, thought I might manage with
two fans...forget it!... Bought another AC ...it's
installed.. I foresee no future problems, as I rarely
had probs b4...

IMHO it was the fans blowing and drying your work too fast that caused
the cracking
not the lack of AC.
Just a thought. :o)
