phew! trimming success

Thanks Phil, Marshall for the tips. I used a combination of all the tips
and got the pots trimmed...took me hours! I ended up centering a big hunk of
clay, placed the Randall bat mold upside-down on the clay chuck (it's about 4
or 5" wider than the bat and hollow in the middle), covered the mold with a
circle of that rubberized drawer liner and then placed the pots upside-down
on the bat mold to trim. It was scary flipping them over but a piece of cake
after that. Now, whether they'll crack on me or not is another question...
Now, what's that saying...the first time you do something, it's an
accident. If you can replicate the technique, it's Art.
