For me a big part of learning something new
is to have a clear conception of the essentials...
So out of the confusion I try too decifer a unified process.
That gives me a model to test empirically in action...
Out of this effort comprehension can be descerned
and the vague spots brought into awareness..
For example this idea among others did not work today as described =
yesterday..
>>followed by the base of thumb muscle/bone near the wrist=20
leaning in as a secondary but primary pressure point..<<
The area of the thumb described actually is too unstable
to apply much pressure accurately.. it is better to cup the clay
with the hands and the thumbs together facing back
engaging into the movement on the way down
thumbs becoming parallel with the hand and the choice spot is in between
the two knuckles where a pocket is formed and pressure=20
can be applied with confidence from there.
So anyone who does try the method I outlined..
I think it is clear that many things will have to be adjusted
depending on experience, body type/flexibilty and preferences etc.
