Hi Lisa Skeen told me I should write again to clay art even if stink at
paragraphs and punctuation ... that said I must tell you I just had the
pleasure of visiting with our Lisa Skeen and found her delightful and NOT A
STRANGER !!!! Kind of weird that you can meet folks for the first time and
yet feel you've known em for long time. Now I have a face to go with the
wonderful posts she usually sends in to the list.

Famous Potters... hmmm ok I must admit most are found here in western NC
as I dont get out much... but the ones that float my boat are : Michael
Sherrill this guy humbles me.... Cynthia Bringle , Jane Pieser , Ellen
Shankin , Steven Hill, tom and elaine coleman... sooo sooo many potters
out there that deserve to be famous also

OK bison tools.... I guess I should be at a Addict anonymous club
for these tools... hey I even went out and bought a cart just to hold
these treasures as I dont want them falling on the floor and shattering..
I tried to butter up the maker too by sending him pots to get on his good
side so maybe I will be on the list of folks to get to receive those precious
tools... ps it may take 2-3 months to get one of his tools so you should
order well in advance... only ONE GUY and sooo soo many folks wanting his
tools ... I only wish I lived close by so I could go try out every one he
has ... it is beyond doubt the best tool for trimming that was ever made,
worth the cost and the wait...

I am trying to get my home clean for the visit of another clay art potter
who should be arriving sometime tomorrow. Nancy Hamilton Hughes :oD She
is from Arizona and on a pottery vaca , I met her thru clay art and we
email regularly and have become great friends... Clay art has opened up a
huge world for me as far as human contact and the strength I gain from
friendships nurtured thru this puter world and having clay bring us all
together like this is really a wonderful thing and I am grateful for the
folks that keep this forum going ...

Hey I became a grandma again last friday :oD Samantha Catherine
or sammer Catski jr and yes if I have anything to do with this child she
WILL BE A POTTER !!!!!! took care of the boys ages 6 and 2 while she
was being born and still recovering LOL... god I love kids, they are way
cool and make me laugh.

well gonna go give bopper the basset hound a bath now so she can be
pretty for Nancy and Ron tomorrow... we will toast clay art as we have a
feast planned and other potters coming. {{{{{{HUGS TO ALL CLAY
HEADS }}}}} Cat Jarosz

Hi Cat,
just a quickie.... Great posting.... so upbeat....... and
congrats on the new granddaughter!
I know just what you mean .......this summer I met 4 clayarters and it was
more like a reunion than a first time meeting!
Ain't that great!
Hmmm bright idea......Wouldn't it be great to have simultaneous Clayart
shows across the country/world?.... just a thought!

Thanks Cat. We had great fun visiting Cat's studio. It is WHITE and
spotless. Makes mine look rather FILTHY!!!!!!!!!! Oy vey. White floors,
white walls, white ceilings, like potting in the hospital! All that
white makes the place VERY bright, which is extra kewl too.

RE: meeting online folks in person: Ginny does not understand when I want
to go stay with a clayart person when we travel, or go see a clayart person,
that I already have known whomever it is for awhile, even if we have never
met in person. She thinks we're going to stay with strangers. I say,
NOT! All the horror stories you hear from single folks notwithstanding, I
have been lucky enough to never have had a bad experience meeting any of my
online friends and acquaintances. A couple of real surprises maybe, but not
totally bad experiences. CAT is fun and very energetic! :)
