I am sorry, but I did not keep the name and address of the lovely high
school teacher who asked about frits and replacing them.
With all due respect--and I respect teachers a lot--I wonder how much you
know actually about glaze technology. Because I should think you would have
been able to answer your own question.
Several people have offered recipes. As I said i will gladly send you mine
for frit 3134 glazes, and your students can try them all, mix them doctor
them. I also suggest you consult Robbin Hopper's book-- I think it was in
The Ceramic Spectrum--where he has one glaze and then simply--well it is NOT
simple but you know what I mean--replace one flux in the recipe. I think it
is called The Flux Substitution Glaze...
