Since I am the one that brought up the subject of the glaze in the first
place, I am always hesitant to ask those more knowledgeable about glaze
formulation than I am to run it through and see if it's ok....I feel like
the glaze gurus are probably asked to do more than they should
anyway......however, if anyone would please run the Burke's celadon and
determine it's basic worth, I would sure appreciate it....it has helped me
so much, but I make functional work, and want to do a quality product....I
have worked so hard on a good functional porcelain with prospected and local
materials, that having a good glaze is important...I have worked with Ron
and Johns's glazes, but appreciate this one because it is easy to acquire
the materials, but I always want to do my best, and not use an inferior
glaze, or especially recommend it....thank you for any help you can
offer....Unfortunately, I don't know what kind of feldspar I use, other than
I believe it is potash, because I can't get any type of analysis...but it's
worked for me......and it works ok for everything but a sub for neph
sye......Melinda
