I use a clay box that I open completely and use as a surround on 3 sides.
Alter as needed.

Subject: catching trimmings

Years ago, maybe 6-8, I contacted the people at Giffin grip and about the
trimmings flying everywhere, and they had a cardboard gizmo they had created
to place on the splash pan area to catch everything. It was quite
inexpensive as I remember. I've used it all this time and it has held up
just fine. It doesn't catch everything but helps alot!
