If you want a small portable wheel Great Lakes clay in Illinois has a
nice on. If you want a really good wheel buy a Thomas Stuart.

The website doesn't give enough information to arrive at an informed
decision. I would be very leery of it. That is a lot of money for a
wheel that has not torque or is not variable speed. Nor does it look
stable. You should be able to get a good name brand wheel used, for
not much more than that is listed new. You just may not be able to get
one real fast.

Subject: is this "Boston Wheel" any good?
Hello all
I wonder if any of you guys have any information
(techical, anecdotical, any) about the "Boston Wheel
Model 100" (http://www.thebostonwheel.com)
I'm thinking in buying one for an absolute beginner
(as a present) but I want to make sure that it will
last a reasonable time of use and abuse, and that it
will be "useful enough"
Also, the web site doesn't show if it's single speed
or multiple, nothing about torque, etc, if you have
any info about it that will be great, and if you
happen to actually own one I'm very interested in
knowing about your experiences

jaime,
when i was looking at wheels i called about the boston
wheel.
This wheel has 2 speeds - on and off.
I did not need to know more so I can not offer any
more information than that.
Personally, I don't see what a person what need this
for that they could justify spending $279.
I bought a used electric wheel on ebay for that same
price (+ $10 if you want to be exact).
granted that you will spend a bit more in shipping or
effort but it will be worth it in the end.
Good luck.

Don't waste your time. It is a totally new wheel on the market that is very
vague about what its capabilities are. The web site gives no information
regarding speed variability, torque, etc, etc. You would be better off
buying one of the new axner wheels as they seem to be a value for what you
get.
Thank you.
