Evan
The tools don't quite work by themselves, but like any well designed and
made tools they make work much easier. Phil's tool blades are tungsten
carbide, which gives them their enduring sharpness.

Bison Tools is Phil Poburka, and his e-mail is
pdp1@earthlink.net
I'm guessing he won't mind me posting his e-mail to the list as he has done
so on several occasions.
My apologies , Phil, if I am wrong.

For wood tools Chris Henley is incredible. I have several pieces by him that
are beautiful as well as THE BEST in a functional sense. He also makes
some metal tools that are excellent - I have one that creates the most
interesting chattering patterns!!
He has a web site at :
www.hominid.net
where you can see what he makes.

Between the two of them, we at Clayart have some pretty terrific resources
for tools!!
