Glaze test for Crystal Glaze, cone 6, ox.
Glaze tested on white midrange stoneware fired in electric oxidation to =
1220c.

1.0 Kaolin
21 Flint
26 Zinc Oxide
52 Borax Frit
ADD
0.5 Nickel Oxide
2.0 Rutile
1.0 Copper Carb.
Note: All raw materials are measured up or down to the nearest whole =
decimal. =20
Colorants or additives to a 100 gram test batch are measured in percent =
to the 100 gram test batch.
Substitutions: None
Results:
Fluid gloss glaze with a light green to turquoise ground. Blue/grey =
crystals and milky white grounds where thicker. Pooled in a clear
grass green glass.

I calculated with frit 3124 - short of silica and alumina - over supplied
with Zinc - not stable - expansion low enough to not craze on many bodies.
